Origin and Historical Context:

This 2016 white tea with mandarin peel comes from Fuding, Fujian Province, China, combining Fuding white tea with mandarin peel from Xinhui, Guangdong Province. The unique natural environment of Fuding gives the white tea a pure flavor, while the mandarin peel from Xinhui adds a fruity fragrance and a warm quality that perfectly complements the smoothness of the tea.

Harvest Period:

The selected tea leaves come from the spring of 2016, ensuring freshness and a high concentration of nutrients. After years of natural aging, the tea acquires a softer character. Xinhui mandarin peels have also been carefully preserved and aged for several years, enriching themselves with complex aromas that blend harmoniously with the tea.

Chinese Infusion Method:

1. Place 5 grams of tea in a gaiwan (lidded Chinese bowl) or clay teapot and pour in 95-100°C water for a 5-second rinse, then drain.

2. For the main infusion, let it steep for 10 seconds in the first cup, increasing by 5 seconds for each subsequent infusion.

3. It is recommended to savour each infusion slowly, to capture the different aromatic nuances of the mandarin peels and the white tea as they are released with the heat.

Western Infusion Method:

1. Place 3 grams of tea in a teapot and add hot water at 95-100°C, leaving to infuse for 5-6 minutes.

2. Adjust the infusion time according to your taste: a shorter infusion will maintain the more delicate aroma, while a longer infusion will intensify the flavor of the mandarin peels.

3. Filter and serve in a cup, ideal for slow tasting, enjoying the warm and sweet combination of the aromas of aged tea and mandarin peel.
