Osmanthus White Tea

Origin and Historical Context:

Osmanthus White Tea comes from the renowned white tea producing region of Guangyang, located in Fujian Province, China. This region, characterized by a unique natural environment and favorable climate conditions, offers high-quality white tea, known for its fresh and delicate flavor. The osmanthus flowers are collected from a century-old tree in Anhui, carefully selected to ensure an intense and natural aroma. The combination of white tea and osmanthus flowers makes this tea a floral and fragrant delicacy.

Harvest season:

White tea is harvested in spring, when the tender leaves are selected, thus ensuring freshness and nutritional value. Osmanthus flowers, on the other hand, are harvested in autumn, choosing those with an intense and enveloping fragrance. This harvesting method that combines the spring and autumn seasons gives Osmanthus White Tea a unique flavor, making it suitable to be enjoyed at any time of the year.

Chinese preparation method:

1. Take a small disc of white osmanthus tea and place it in a clay bowl or teapot, pour in 95-100°C water for a quick rinse, let it steep for 3 seconds, then drain.

2. For the main infusion, steep for 10 seconds, then increase the steep time by 5 seconds for each subsequent infusion.

3. Each infusion will fully release the aromas of the white tea and osmanthus flowers; it is recommended to savor slowly to perceive the nuances of flavor.

European preparation method:

1. Take a small disc of white osmanthus tea and place it in a teapot, pour in water at 95-100°C and leave to infuse for 5-6 minutes.

2. Adjust the infusion time according to your personal taste: a short infusion preserves the floral aroma better, while a longer time intensifies the flavour of the tea.

3. Filter and pour into a cup; this tea is perfect to be enjoyed slowly during moments of relaxation, to enjoy the harmonious fusion of tea and flower scents.
