Wild Bai Mu Dan White Tea 2024

Introduction to the provenance
Wild Bai Mudan White Tea mainly comes from the Fuding region of Fujian Province, China, especially the high-altitude areas with protected natural environment. This region is renowned for its favorable climate, with four distinct seasons, abundant rainfall and rich soil, which create an ideal environment for tea bushes to grow. Wild tea trees grow naturally in the primeval forests, without the use of chemical fertilizers, making the tea leaves purer and more natural, rich in minerals. Due to their unique origin and limited harvest quantity, Wild Bai Mudan White Tea is considered a jewel in the white tea scene, with high market value and collector potential.

Harvest season
The optimal harvest season for Wild Bai Mudan White Tea 2024 is generally in spring, especially around Qingming (early April). During this period, the shoots and tender leaves reach their maximum development. Farmers harvest by hand in the morning, before the dew dries, to ensure freshness and integrity. Only the top shoots and some young leaves are picked, ensuring the highest quality and unique flavor. Since the harvest quantity is limited, the demand for Wild Bai Mudan White Tea always exceeds supply.

Chinese infusion method
It is recommended to use a glass cup or teapot with water at a temperature of 85-90°C. Use 5 grams of Wild Bai Mudan White Tea for the first rinse, which will last about 5 seconds, to awaken the aromas. The first infusion should last 15-20 seconds, after which you can gradually extend the infusion time according to personal taste. Usually, the tea can be infused 5-7 times, maintaining its unique and aromatic flavor in each infusion.

European infusion method

For the European method, you can use a teapot, adding 3 grams of Wild Bai Mudan White Tea to 90°C hot water, and leave to infuse for 3-5 minutes. The soup can be poured directly into a cup, and it is recommended to add lemon or honey to enhance the flavor, making it suitable for various consumption contexts, such as afternoon tea or moments of relaxation.

Cold infusion method

Place 5 grams of Wild Bai Mudan White Tea in 500 milliliters of cold water and leave to infuse in the refrigerator for 6-8 hours. The cold brew is fresh and sweet, with a pronounced floral aroma, perfect for the summer months. This method of infusion effectively reduces the bitterness of the tea, making it softer and more delicate, while retaining the beneficial nutrients, and offers a refreshing experience for those who prefer light flavors.
